Mayor Swart kicked off the World Tour project Friday June 28, 2013 on the square of About Gardens entrepreneur Mall in South Horn. Ruim150 children bassischolen CBS Anchor, OBS De Borgh, GBS Bridge and CBS Compass Rose participated. Special was that a plane ticket, vaccinations and a heavy suitcase were unnecessary at this World Tour. World Tour is in fact a real quest for local retailers to the origin of their products like jeans or telephone. World Tour is organized by North Baak Foundation and the Millennium Project Task Force South Horn. World Tour
The World Tour has long been a great success entrepreneur and now have been about 1,500 elementary school students in the province of Groningen with it. Children race armed with an order book in small groups through the mall and answer all kinds of questions about the (sustainable) business of shopkeepers. From grocery store to store flowers, a colorful array of entrepreneurs has joined the project. The students conduct interviews with entrepreneurs and research articles that offer them. They learn about the origins of their food, clothing, makeup and money. There is also material on sustainability in the broadest sense of the word to teachers that they can use to be able to.
