Exhibition of artist and filmmaker Petra Bauer launched Thursday Contemporary Art Center Point. The Bauer examines the work of the possibility cpa of cinema and animation to serve as a meeting and negotiation on social and political issues. In a report to the Point, which is curated by Jacob Fabricius, director of the Kunsthal Charlottenborg in Copenhagen, presented significant examples from the recent work of Bauer, including the Sisters! , A film which resulted from the cooperation of the same with the Southall Black Sisters, dynamic, pioneering feminist organization founded in 1979 in London. "In my work I explore the possibilities of conceptual documentary. Examines how constructed, presented and represented in the media public stories that exist within our society or around it. I start everything from a private cpa event and then explore how it relates and connects with general trends in society. The relationship between the private event and public history is exactly what interests me. " The exhibition presents the most recent production of Bauer Choreography for the Giants (2013). The project -which consists of a video installation and a ekdosi- the Swedish artist cpa follows the parade Mechelen Ommegang (or Cavalcade), which takes place every twenty-five years in Belgium. The production of Choreography for the Giants became the Contour 2013 and issuing a joint production of the Point Centre cpa for Contemporary Art. + The report cpa Sisters!
